Leader for Environmental Protection and Energy Independence:
Christopher Robinson was instrumental in drafting legislation to clean up the Chesapeake Bay, combat erosion in Ocean City and protect the oyster industry from succumbing to disease while working as a Congressional aide representing the 1st District during the 1980’s. Protecting the Bay and promoting clean, efficient sources of energy are two urgent national priorities. Conservation must be the cornerstone of our nation’s energy policy, but conservation alone is not enough. Our government needs to mobilize the best minds and industry leaders behind a project similar to the Manhattan Project to develop technologies that are clean and affordable.

Activist for Making Health Care Available to All Americans:
It is estimated that nearly forty-five million Americans lack health care insurance. This is unacceptable. Christopher Robinson believes that access to basic quality health care should be available to all Americans and will strive to make that goal a reality.

Advocate for Protecting Our National Security:
Our government’s most fundamental obligation is to protect its citizens. The current Administration has failed to forge effective alliances with other nations in the fight against terrorism. We can not –indeed we must not - fight the war on international terrorism on our own. The most important weapon in our nation’s arsenal against international terrorism is resolve.

Champion for Sound Economic Policy:
As a small business owner and lawyer on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Christopher Robinson understands the importance of sound national policies that foster economic development and create jobs. The budget deficit and national debt are a national disgrace and prevent us from pursuing sound, responsible national objectives. We owe it to our children to leave them a legacy of hope, not a mountain of debt. As a fiscal conservative, Christopher Robinson believes that balancing our budget and bringing federal spending under strict control is one of our nation’s most important priorities.

Advocate for a Better Educated and Skilled Workforce:
hristopher Robinson believes that a well educated, skilled workforce is essential to the economic strength of our communities. As a nation, we must be able to compete in a growing, competitive global market. A first rate education, whether academic or vocational, is absolutely essential to meeting the complex challenges we face today. Early involvement of parents, better pay for teachers, increased federal funding for early education like Headstart, a renewed emphasis on vocational education are all key components in the campaign for excellence in education.
